What is Teachers 4.0 Digital?

Digital literacy and tackling disinformation are among the top three digital skills needed for the 21st century. Teachers need to be equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to empower their students to think critically, make informed choices online and stay safe whilst continuously building their resilience in the digital world.

Teachers 4.0 Digital Age: Tackling Disinformation and Promoting Digital Literacy through Education and Training in European Classrooms aims for the capacity-building of teachers and educators so that they can empower students to think critically, make informed choices online and stay safe whilst continuously building their resilience in the digital world

Stay tuned for our large-scale capacity-building programme!

Launched by 1 December 2023 to run for three years, Teachers 4.0 Digital will offer a large-scale capacity-building activity for initial training and continuous professional development of teachers and educators across Europe with a focus on Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Poland and Romania:

  • Development of a comprehensive curriculum for teachers and educators
  • Design of a University course on the topic of combating disinformation and digital [media] literacy for initial teacher education
  • Development of an e-Learning platform for the upskilling of primary and secondary school education teachers and educators.

We just launched our curriculum development!

The Teachers 4.0 Digital partners just launched the development of a comprehensive educational curriculum and the design of a University Course that aim to empower pre-service teachers and educators to promote digital [media] literacy, and to tackle disinformation in their classrooms.

The University of Palermo (UNIPA) is leading the development of the modules with the support of project partners who will be busy with compiling content and resources during the next couple of months for the modules covering wide range of topics from teaching and learning in the digital school environment to digital [media] literacy competencies and disinformation.

The curriculum will also provide practical examples on lesson plans, assessment and evaluation, while also offering a glossary on key terminology and compilation of resources that teachers and educators can use in their teaching

Meet our partners!

Our project consortium consists of 16 organisations from Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Poland and Romania.
