SAFE ON-LIFE

Description:

The project Safe On-Life: Empowering Carers of Children to Promote Digital Wellbeing and Safeguard Children’s Rights Online aims to empower parents, carers, and professionals working with children to effectively support children’s safety, wellbeing, and rights in the digital environment. Through the development of educational tools, training actions, and awareness-raising initiatives, the project promotes the responsible use of technology and strengthens collaboration between children and adults, contributing to a safer and more supportive digital world for everyone. The Safe On-Life project builds on the results of the European Safe Online Initiative (ESOI), co-funded by the Erasmus+ KA3 programme and implemented between 2019 and 2022 in Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece and Romania.

Activities:

The project focuses on the implementation of specific actions:

  • Co-design of educational material with the active participation of children and carers.
  • Development of digital educational platforms and training modules.
  • Train-the-Trainers (ToT) sessions.
  • Development and implementation of training workshops for carers and educators.
  • Implementation of information and awareness-raising campaigns and dissemination activities.
  • Development of innovative methodologies to support children’s participation in decision-making regarding their digital lives.

Results:

 

  • Creation of four national e-learning platforms.
  • Development of educational modules on digital safety and children’s rights.
  • Training of 1,000 parents, carers, and professionals.
  • Implementation of 100 training workshops.
  • Organization of awareness campaigns and dissemination events.
