Description:
The CRISEPAC project, funded by Erasmus+, is integrating climate change education into European schools. By developing innovative teaching tools, the project aims to equip educators and citizens with knowledge about natural hazards. A network of experts and conferences will empower communities to address climate change challenges through education.
Activities:
The project is dedicated to the implementation of a certain series of activities:
- The acculturation and training in natural hazards for teachers (information platform, online MOOC, etc.),
- the creation of educational tools to teach and raise awareness on the theme of risk and experimentation with tools dedicated to young people, and
- the sharing of experiences and networking of experts and education stakeholders to disseminate good practices to young people.
Results:
- The development of an educational resource platform (online MOOC tool),
- the risk mapping in a European context,
- the implementation of Teacher trainings,
- the creation of a Risk Booklet for children aged between 9 and 12 years old,
- the development of a network of teachers and associated actors,
- the creation of educational material (documents), for natural risks to be taught at school, and
- the experimentation of educational activities in class.
