Youth2Unite: Workshop on raising awareness against hate crime and hate speech incidents

The Athens Lifelong Learning Institute is inviting young people from the age of 18-30 years old to the Youth2Unite online workshop.

The online workshop will last three days and will take place on Monday 11 October 2021 (13.00 - 16.00), Tuesday 12 October 2021 (10.00 - 13.00) and Wednesday 13 October 2021 (10.00 - 14.00).

The aim of this 3day- workshop is to present and analyze the results of the pilot implementation of the Youth2Unite project methodologies, purposes, and training tools and to raise awareness against hate crime and hate speech incidents among young people.
 
The Youth2Unite Project – which has been supported by the Erasmus+ programme focuses at combating the rise of hate crimes and hate speech across Europe and at decreasing passivity towards such incidents by promoting and enhancing involvement and awareness raising especially among young people. The project focuses on deepening on issues of hate speech, prejudice and stereotypes, online bullying and dealing with and acting in the face of such incidents.
 
During the workshop young people from the age of 18-30 will participate in training activities in order to be able to recognise and combat such events, preventing them to spread and creating a welcoming and a respectful context for marginalized populations.
 
The workshop focuses on a set of experiential tools through a proactive and participatory approach. Those interested can participate in  this workshop free of charge.
