NoHatePolice: Building Safer, More Inclusive Communities
The NoHatePolice project launched on March 2024.
This groundbreaking project aims to equip police officers in Greece & Cyprus with the skills to effectively recognize and respond to incidents of hate.
The NoHatePolice project brings two police forces, two civil society organisations and two research and education institutes to build the knowledge and expertise of police forces in Greece and Cyprus on effective methods of recognizing, understanding and investigating hate crimes.
Over the next 24 months, “NoHate Police” will conduct a series of activities, culminating in 20 seminars that will train an estimated 400 police officers, from Greece and Cyprus.
By enhancing their ability to identify and address hate incidents, the project strives to foster safer and more inclusive communities for all.
The purpose of the project is to build the capacity of police forces to successfully combat hate speech and hate crime, in Greece and in Cyprus.
