E-ENGAGED
ONLINE DISCUSSION
ON FAKE NEWS

What is misinformation and fake news?

To what extent do they exist in our daily lives?

How can we deal with it?

The European project E-engAGEd, with partners from 4 European countries (Greece, Belgium, France, Italy), aims at answering these questions. The project aims at increasing the digital, social, and political participation of youth and older people through an intergenerational learning approach.

Project objectives:

  • Improve critical thinking and other media literacy and digital literacy skills.
  • To increase intergenerational responsibility for digital interaction with society.
  • To build trust in authoritative journalism and media to enhance political participation.

Misinformation is a democratic challenge of today’s era. Poor quality information causes distrust and digital and social exclusion makes it difficult to access reliable sources of knowledge.

We invite you to discuss these topical issues, ask questions and listen to your views at the first online event of the European project “E-engAGEd”.
