Digital transformation in adult education for inclusive online training

Project No. 2021-1-LT01-KA220-ADU-000035360

Digital transformation is not just about technology; it is a mindset shift that empowers adult educators to embrace innovation, adapt to change, and unlock the full potential of digital tools and platforms in enhancing learning experiences for their learners.

From our last Newsletter we made great progress in our project and we are very happy to share it with our followers.

We have been working hard on the following products:

  • PR2-A1 Matrix was finished. As a result, now, we have a very clear overview of the Digital Competences for Educators and Learners. All partners made a great contribution to it.
  • PR2-A2 Assessment tool’s development is ongoing by all partners. We are developing different questions for each skill. The process is being supervised by the Coordinator in order to get a coherent final set of questions.
  • PR5-A1 Curriculum is already completed. For the Curriculum each partner has developed the descriptions of the topic they are responsible for Short Online Course (SOC) for adult learners “Gender equality in the labour market”. Based on this Curriculum the scripts for the Modules’ video lessons were developed.
  • PR5-A2:A6 Modules were developed (presented as video lessons), quizzes for the Modules also were developed. At the moment the Modules and quizzes are being programmed and translated into partner languages.
  • PR3-A1 Curriculum is being developed by all partners and it will give a start to the development of the Modules for the training course.

Digital transformation opens a world of possibilities for adult learners, enabling them to break down barriers, access knowledge anytime and anywhere, and embark on a lifelong journey of growth, empowerment, and self-discovery.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Our  project aims to support adult education organisations and adult educators in the development and implementation for digital transformation to high-quality inclusive online training by developing the Learning Hub “Digital Transformation”.

COVID‑19 crisis has resulted in a significant increase in online learning by adults, however, adult educators across Europe were plunged into the situation to pursue the training that had started as classroom-based to online, with non or very little professional training for this digital transformation.

TARGET GROUPS FOR OUR PROJECT:

Adult education organizations and their staff;

Adult educators, including practitioners;

Adult educators-facilitators who provide training for adult educators-practitioners;

Adult learners, especially with a disadvantaged background.
