Do you find it difficult to spot misinformation and fake news in the new media?

 

We invite you to an online meeting to be held on Monday 13 November 2023 at 16.00 – 17.00 on the topic of misinformation and fake news.

The meeting will focus on the following topics:
– What is fake news?
– What is misinformation?
– Basic concepts of media literacy
– How to manage information shared on social media

These modules are also discussed in the asynchronous e-learning platform entitled “Fake News & Elders” which you will have the opportunity to access. The platform includes rich materials and exercises to enhance your knowledge and skills.

This meeting and the asynchronous e-learning platform are part of the European project Fake News & Elders which aims to provide digital literacy for people aged 55+ to enable them to critically deal with the information they receive from new media, thus aiming at their inclusion in the new digital reality.
